Involvement: Furnz Group delivered the complete interior design, FF&E and OS&E package for Quest Havelock North’s 40 serviced apartments and public spaces. Our scope included design development and documentation, procurement, delivery coordination and on-site installation.
Developed by Wallace Development Company Limited and operating under the Quest Apartment Hotels brand, Quest Havelock North is located in the heart of the village. The property comprises studio, accessible, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments designed to accommodate both short and extended stays.
The interior concept draws inspiration from the surrounding Hawke’s Bay landscape. Soft greens reference the region’s rolling hills and native vegetation, while earthy browns, terracotta tones, warm timber and natural textures create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Gentle curves and organic forms introduce a subtle connection to the Tukituki River and the wider landscape.
Within the apartments, clean contemporary lines are balanced with warmth, comfort and functionality. Upholstered headboards, decorative lighting, artwork, mirrors, window treatments and carefully selected furniture and accessories work together to create a consistent guest experience across each room type.
The public spaces continue the same design language through warm terracotta tones, custom furniture, layered lighting, rugs and black-and-white photography celebrating the local area. Each element was selected to give the property its own sense of place while remaining aligned with Quest’s established brand standards.
Durability and day-to-day operation were considered throughout the project. Clear layouts support ease of movement, while commercially suitable materials and finishes were selected to withstand repeated guest use and simplify ongoing maintenance.
Furnz also managed the complete procurement and delivery process, coordinating manufacture, freight, storage, on-site placement and final installation across the apartments and shared spaces.
The completed property provides a calm, contemporary and practical environment that feels distinctly connected to Havelock North while offering the comfort and consistency expected from Quest Apartment Hotels.
